Softball Recap: Lake Center Christian Has No Trouble Against East Palestine

Lake Center Christian came out on top against East Palestine on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run fifth inning. The Tiger were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Tiger, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Jillian Miller was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Madison Zook was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lake Center Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .410. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .314 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Lake Center Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for East Palestine, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Looking ahead, Lake Center Christian will square off against Heartland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.55 runs per game on average), something the Tiger will no doubt try to take advantage of. East Palestine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
