Softball Recap: Marriotts Ridge Takes a Loss

Marriotts Ridge entered their contest against Glenelg on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Marriotts Ridge fell just short of Glenelg by a score of 4-3. Marriotts Ridge was not able to make up for their defeat to Glenelg from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Gianna Peluso made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Biff Lorah also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Marriotts Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Glenelg, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Marriotts Ridge will square off against rival Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Glenelg is set to take on their familiar foe Hammond at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
