Baseball Recap: Mountain Ridge Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

While Mountain Ridge's victory against Fremont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mountain Ridge Sentinels skirted past the Fremont Silverwolves 6-5. That's two games straight that the Sentinels have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Iacono, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Grayson Riding, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Mountain Ridge's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Ridge will host Woods Cross at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fremont, they will welcome Timpanogos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
