Baseball Recap: Salinas Takes a Loss

Salinas lost against Hollister back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cowboys took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Haybalers. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Salinas' record now sits at 8-13. As for Hollister, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salinas will challenge Palma at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chieftains have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Hollister, they will square off against Palo Alto at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
