Basketball Recap: Paulding Falls Short of Ottawa-Glandorf in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Paulding can now relate to. They fell 45-32 to the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans on Saturday. The Panthers lost against the Titans in their previous head to head back in February of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-35 score last time.

Paulding's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayleigh Dunham, who posted four points in addition to nine blocks and three steals. Dunham has been hot, having posted two or more blocks the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Pease, who scored ten points and five rebounds.

Paulding's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-0.

Paulding does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, they will face off against Johnstown-Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Johnstown-Monroe will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Ottawa-Glandorf surely won't give up without a fight.
