The Southern Wells Raiders will head out to square off against the Eastbrook Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southern Wells is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Southern Wells easily dispatched Wes-Del on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Raiders fell just short of Mississinewa by a score of 11-9 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

Landon Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sebastian Couch, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Eastbrook came up short against Wapahani on Tuesday, falling 13-3.

Eastbrook saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Daugherty, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Southern Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Eastbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Southern Wells has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eastbrook struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Southern Wells couldn't quite get it done against Eastbrook in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-4. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
