Piedmont Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 20-12 victory over the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Although Thomas Jefferson Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Rashad Smith and Cason Walden.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Piedmont Academy will challenge Lakeview Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Windsor Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
