Basketball Recap: Cuyahoga Heights Comes Up Short

Cuyahoga Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lutheran West Longhorns. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-12 back in December of 2024.

Cuyahoga Heights' record now sits at 4-9. As for Lutheran West, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cuyahoga Heights will face off against Kirtland at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lutheran West, they will square off against Trinity at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
