Baseball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. Box Elder Bees

For the second straight game, Northridge will face off against Box Elder. The Knights will welcome the Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northridge has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 10.

Box Elder hit Northridge with a four-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights fell just short of the Bees by a score of 9-8.

For Box Elder's part, the team relied heavily on Korbin Jeppesen, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Jeppesen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Korver Smith, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Box Elder has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-18.
