Volleyball Recap: Buena Takes a Loss

Buena lost against Ventura back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 18, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-10, 25-20.

Ventura was led to victory by Louie Nacu and Osvaldo Robles. Nacu had 14 digs, while Robles had five digs. Those 14 digs gave Nacu a new career-high.

Buena dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Ventura, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Buena will welcome Rio Mesa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ventura, they will be playing at home against Pacifica at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Tritons at the right time seeing as the Tritons are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
