Basketball Recap: Bixby Comes Up Short

Bixby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Edison Eagles. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.

Bixby's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Edison, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-8.

Bixby has already played their next game, a 76-72 defeat against Muskogee on the 24th. As for Edison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-46 loss against Memorial on the 24th.
