Basketball Recap: Central's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Central can now relate to. They fell 47-35 to the Northside Grizzlies on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-57 back in November of 2024.

It was another big night for Erianna Gooden, who posted 23 points and seven rebounds for Northside. Another player making a difference was Camryn Schmidt, who earned six points and eight boards.

The loss snapped Central's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 22-7 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points over those games. As for Northside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 25-5.

As of now, neither Central nor Northside have any future games scheduled.
