The Snowflake Lobos will challenge the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions on Saturday. Snowflake is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Snowflake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Blue Ridge 2-1.

Skip Bawden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one RBI.
Bawden wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Graham Bawden, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Pusch Ridge Christian Academy nor Northwest Christian made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Lions never let the Crusaders get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Like Snowflake, Pusch Ridge Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: John Sunukjian. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Sunukjian also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is 8-3 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise. Sunukjian was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple.
Snowflake's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, their record now sits at 15-11.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Snowflake has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pusch Ridge Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
