Softball Recap: Cypress Creek Takes a Loss

If Cypress Creek was feeling good fresh off their 23-5 takedown of University last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears came up short against the Timber Creek Wolves on Wednesday, falling 15-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 12-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Cypress Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alondra Lozada, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Cypress Creek has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-4 record this season. As for Timber Creek, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek will welcome West Orange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Timber Creek, they will be playing at home against Lyman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
