LINCOLN, Neb. -
Omaha North (Omaha, Neb.) snapped
Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, Neb.)'s 4-game winning streak, with a 28-10 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown, the Silver Hawk went into halftime with a 10-7 lead. The Vikings took the lead for good with a touchdown run by
Calvin Strong in the third quarter.
Zach Martin played well for Omaha North in the victory. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns.
Lincoln Southwest's lone touchdown came on a 2-yard run in the first quarter.
ON came into the game allowing 15.8 points per game.
The loss comes after Lincoln Southwest defeated Lincoln East 20-0 last week. The victory was a step in the right direction for the Omaha school, which was coming off a 37-31 defeat at the hands of Millard North in its previous game.
