Volleyball Recap: Freeport Victorious

Freeport won the last time they faced Jefferson and things went their way on Friday too. The Pretzels came out on top against the J-Hawks by a score of 2-0. The game was the first time the Pretzels have beaten the J-Hawks on their court since August 23, 2022.

Freeport never let Jefferson on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23.

Grace Muench was the offensive standout of the match as she had 17 digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight matchups.

Freeport's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Jefferson, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Freeport will be playing in front of their home fans against Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Pretzels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson, they will square off against Belvidere at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
