            Baseball Recap: Wausaukee Rangers vs. Coleman Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Wausaukee extended their losing streak  to six  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-9 in the process. They fell  8-4 to the Coleman Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-5  back in April.
As for Coleman, the  win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
 For Coleman's part,  Tyler Reine and  Gavin Pusick did most of the damage at the plate:  Reine  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Pusick  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. Pusick has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last five times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Wyatt Bieber, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wausaukee will  challenge  rival Niagara  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Coleman is set to  take on  their familiar foe Lena  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Cougars 2, the Wildcats 3) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
