Baseball Recap: St. Michael's Gets the Win

St. Michael got themselves on the board against Santa Fe Indian on Saturday, but Santa Fe Indian never followed suit. They skirted past the Braves 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Horsemen in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.

Santa Fe Indian's batters probably weren't too happy with Carson West, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (he gave up three walks). West has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, St. Michael's saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derick Saiz, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

St. Michael's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Santa Fe Indian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.
