The Hoke County Bucks are taking a road trip to  challenge the Village Christian Academy Knights  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Hoke County picked up another tournament win  on Thursday. They blew past Alpha Academy 3-0. The  victory continues a trend for the Bucks in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now won three in a row.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hoke County was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12,  25-12.

 Hoke County relied on the efforts of   Heiden Small, who  had 11 assists and five  aces, and   Pedro Ramos-Alejandro, who  had ten  digs. Ramos-Alejandro is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as he's  now  had ten or more in each of the last three games he's  played.
Meanwhile, Village Christian Academy entered their tilt with Coastal Christian on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single  set of losing the streak, but they secured  a   2-1 W against the Centurions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Knights have posted  since March 25, 2024.
 It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Village Christian Academy got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 24-26,  15-13.
 The  victory  got Hoke County back to even at 9-9. As for Village Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the  win, which was their tenth straight  on the road.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Monday's  game:  Hoke County has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 9.6  aces per game. However, it's not like Village Christian Academy struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 10.3  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
 Hoke County might still be hurting after the  3-0 defeat they got from Village Christian Academy  in their previous meeting  back in April. Can the Bucks avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
