Baseball Recap: York County Tech Takes a Loss

York County Tech fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Delone Catholic on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to the Squires, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Spartans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Logan Cheramie was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Natizel Roman, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

York County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Delone Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.

York County Tech will face off against Hanover at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Delone Catholic, they will square off against Bermudian Springs at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Squires surely won't give up without a fight.
