Basketball Recap: Lubbock-Cooper Takes a Loss

Lubbock-Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Palo Duro Dons 75-43. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Dons are ranked 50th).

Lubbock-Cooper's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Palo Duro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Coronado the next time they take the court. Lubbock-Cooper will host Coronado at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Palo Duro will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
