Preview: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Harrisonville Wildcats
Carl Junction has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Harrisonville Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Carl Junction got themselves on the board against Lincoln College Prep, but Lincoln College Prep never followed suit. They blew past the Blue Tigers, posting a 32-0 victory at home. The victory was just what Carl Junction needed coming off of a 26-0 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Harrisonville can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Southeast/Central at home to the tune of 62-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Harrisonville just coasted through the last quarter.
It was another big night for Nate Reynolds, who rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Reynolds was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Brandon Phillips was another key contributor, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Carl Junction to 2-8 and Harrisonville to 6-4.
