Baseball Recap: Carencro Takes a Loss

Carencro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell 8-3 to the Lafayette Lions. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Carencro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wilson Landry, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Carencro's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Lafayette, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carencro will head out to take on Breaux Bridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lafayette, they will venture away from home to challenge Carencro at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
