Soccer Game Preview: Charlotte Christian vs. Covenant Day

Charlotte Christian hasn't had much luck against Covenant Day recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Knights will take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Charlotte Christian's offense. They lost 4-0 to Charlotte Latin on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Charlotte Latin are ranked 41st).

Meanwhile, Covenant Day came up short against Providence Day on Thursday, falling 4-1. Covenant Day were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Baker Runge, who's now up to five this season.

Charlotte Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Covenant Day, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 11-2-1.

Charlotte Christian suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Covenant Day when the teams last played last Friday. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
