Recap: Rockhurst Hawklets vs. Staley Falcons
After flying high against the Bentonville Tigers on Thursday, the Rockhurst Hawklets came back down to earth. Rockhurst took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Staley on Saturday. Rockhurst has not had much luck with Staley recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Rockhurst saw an underclassman step up: Cohen Robinson scored 10 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Lamley, who scored 8 points.
Rockhurst's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Staley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Rockhurst will be playing at home against Blue Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Rockhurst is ranked 129th). Staley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st.
