Preview: Ontario Warriors vs. Pleasant Spartans
Ontario is 9-1 against Pleasant since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Ontario Warriors will stay at home for another game and welcome the Pleasant Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Ontario beat Norwalk 69-64. That looming 69-64 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Ontario yet this season.
Meanwhile, Pleasant came up short against Clear Fork on Friday and fell 65-56.
The losing side was boosted by Trey Booker, who scored 29 points. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson King, who scored 12 points.
Ontario's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4. As for Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Ontario came out on top in a nail-biter against Pleasant in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 57-54. Will Ontario repeat their success, or does Pleasant have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
