Softball Game Preview: Pflugerville Panthers vs. Georgetown Eagles

Pflugerville is 0-5 against Georgetown since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. Pflugerville will head out to take on Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. Pflugerville has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pflugerville is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They fell 12-8 to Weiss.

Braelynn Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ayrianna Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Georgetown came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 13-4 victory.

Georgetown's win bumped their record up to 13-8-1. As for Pflugerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Pflugerville might still be hurting after the 13-2 loss they got from Georgetown in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Pflugerville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
