Volleyball Recap: Falmouth Navigators vs. Gorham Rams
Falmouth lost against Gorham back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falmouth Navigators fell just short of the Gorham Rams by a score of 3-2. The Navigators haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Falmouth took Gorham into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. After all that action, the final score was 21-25, 25-8, 25-19, 19-25, 15-9.
Gorham can attribute much of their success to Addyson Simcock, who had nine digs and three aces.
Falmouth now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Gorham, the victory (which was their 17th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.
Falmouth will host Biddeford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but likely not for long. As for Gorham, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Washington Academy at 2:30 p.m. Gorham will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak dating back to last season alive.
