Baseball Recap: West Allis Hale Huskies vs. Kenosha Tremper Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wauwatosa East, West Allis Hale was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Kenosha Tremper Trojans 6-5. While the Huskies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Joe Godina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Luke Schaning was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Dawson Becker also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
West Allis Hale's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Kenosha Tremper, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
