Softball Recap: Syracuse Rockets vs. Raymond Central Mustangs        
        
		
             Syracuse was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight  loss. They came up short against  the Raymond Central Mustangs, falling  12-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Rockets have suffered  against the Mustangs since August 30, 2021.
  Mayson Sprague made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaita Kreifels, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.
 Syracuse's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Raymond Central, their victory  ended  a  14-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 8-18.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Syracuse will head out to  face off against Falls City  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Syracuse is facing Falls City at the right time seeing as Falls City is stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak. As for Raymond Central, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Platteview on Monday. Raymond Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2  runs per game  this season.
