Football Recap: Jeffersonville Falls Short of Center Grove in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jeffersonville can now relate to. They were beaten by the Center Grove Trojans 48-0 on Friday. Considering the last time the Red Devils couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Center Grove found their leader in sophomore Ricky Lange, who rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Lange really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Brodie Tilton was another key player, rushing for 41 yards and a pair of TDs.

Jeffersonville's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Center Grove, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Jeffersonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Center Grove, they will challenge Franklin Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Flashes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
