Volleyball Recap: Hollywood Hills' Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak at Home

Hollywood Hills not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th. Everything went their way against the Northeast Hurricanes as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hollywood Hills took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Hollywood Hills was led to victory by Julian Klavans and Christian Hernandez. Klavans had 12 assists and seven aces, while Hernandez had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces Hernandez has posted since back in March.

They weren't the only good server: Hollywood Hills was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive contests.

Hollywood Hills' victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Northeast, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Hollywood Hills will challenge South Plantation at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northeast, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coral Springs Charter at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
