Carlmont is a perfect 10-0 against Woodside since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Scots will head out to challenge the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Woodside took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Carlmont, who comes in off a win.

Carlmont lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Santa Teresa, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Scots put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 8-1 win on Saturday.

Kathrine Fung made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Fung was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grace Stiefel, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Daniella Smit was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Woodside has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.77 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit last Thursday. They lost 12-2 to Valley Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Woodside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Severin, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Carlmont pushed their record up to 5-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Woodside, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Carlmont skirted past Woodside 4-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Scots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
