Bountiful had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Snow Canyon Warriors by a score of 72-62.

Bountiful got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lincoln Smith out in front who went 9-for-15 to rack up 27 points. Those 27 points gave Smith a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Crane, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 20 points and three steals.
Snow Canyon's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Issaiah Thompson, who went 6-for-7 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds. Thompson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Reggie MacKay was another key player, shooting 63% from the field to rack up 15 points.
Bountiful wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-56 defeat against Dixie on the 21st. As for Snow Canyon, they have also already played their next game, a 66-48 win against Manti on the 21st.
