Soccer Game Preview: Bartlett Yancey vs. Southeast Alamance

Bartlett Yancey hasn't had much luck against Southeast Alamance recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Buccaneers will head out on the road to square off against the Stallions at 6:00 p.m. Bartlett Yancey has given up an average of 4.9 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bartlett Yancey came into their game last Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Northwood, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southeast Alamance). Everything went their way against Jordan-Matthews on Monday as they made off with a 10-1 win. Considering Southeast Alamance have won six contests by more than six goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Jordan-Matthews with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abby Stadnicar (4), Yanella Lopez (4), Keyanna Holliman, and Nadia Navarro.

Southeast Alamance has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those seven games. As for Bartlett Yancey, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Bartlett Yancey might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Southeast Alamance in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
