Softball Game Preview: La Marque Cougars vs. Bay Area Christian Broncos

The La Marque Cougars will take on the Bay Area Christian Broncos at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. La Marque has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 18.

Things were looking good for La Marque after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Legacy School of Sport Sciences, falling 17-7.

Alexa Loubet stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Karen Salazar, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Loubet wasn't the only one working in the hit department: La Marque kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Bay Area Christian lost 14-3 to Hitchcock on Friday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

La Marque's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Bay Area Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
