Football Recap: Calvin Adams Key Part of Team Effort in War Eagles Win + How To Watch

After only six points in their last game, Jenkins County made sure to put some points up on the board against Portal on Friday. The War Eagles strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 48-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the War Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Jenkins County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Calvin Adams, who rushed for 149 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Those 149 rushing yards gave Adams a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Justin Wright, who threw for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes.

When it comes to explaining why Portal lost, don't look at Jason Crawford. Despite the final result, he rushed for 83 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Jenkins County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Portal, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
