Softball Game Preview: Knightdale Knights vs. Rolesville Rams

The Knightdale Knights will take on the Rolesville Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Knightdale and five for Rolesville.

Knightdale fell victim to Wake Forest and their airtight pitching crew two weeks ago. They lost 15-0 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, while it was Rolesville who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Millbrook who put up more. Rolesville fell just short of Millbrook by a score of 13-11.

Katie Bolster made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa D'Antonio, who scored a run while going 4-for-5.

Even though they lost, Rolesville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .405. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matchups.

Knightdale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Rolesville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
