Football Recap: Russell Christian Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Russell Christian Academy entered their tilt with Sylva Bay Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Saints 49-26. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 30-12 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Russell Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bo Morphis out in front who rushed for 31 yards and one score, and also threw for 64 yards and one TD on perfect 5-for-5 passing. Morphis' passing game has become a key predictor of the Warriors' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Another back making a difference was Jace Woods, who rushed for 108 yards on only 13 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Russell Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 323 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Sylva Bay Academy still got an impressive performance from Micah Odom, who rushed for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.
