Volleyball Recap: Syracuse Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Syracuse couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-1 to the Skyridge Falcons on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Syracuse's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Miyah Lish, who had ten digs and two blocks, and Presley Worthington, who had 12 digs and two assists. Lish has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 34 times she's played.

Syracuse moved to 22-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Skyridge, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-2.

Syracuse didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mountain Ridge on the 30th. Skyridge has also already played their next match (against Corner Canyon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
