Basketball Recap: Great Bridge Takes a Loss

Great Bridge lost against Bayside back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Great Bridge Wildcats took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bayside Marlins. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Great Bridge's record now sits at 1-5. As for Bayside, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Great Bridge Wildcats face off against the Oscar Smith Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oscar Smith knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Great Bridge likes a good challenge. As for Bayside, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on First Colonial at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
