Meanwhile, Boys' Latin Charter pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of String Theory by a score of 57-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Boys' Latin Charter has suffered yet this season.
Academy at Palumbo pushed their record up to 6-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Boys' Latin Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Academy at Palumbo beat Boys' Latin Charter 60-49 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Academy at Palumbo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
