Pine Forest takes loss despite strong efforts from J?Kosi Black and Marco Stallworth

Recap: Pine Forest Eagles vs. Choctawhatchee Indians

The Pine Forest Eagles suffered their closest loss yet this season on Monday. They fell just short of Choctawhatchee by a score of 57-55. Even though they lost, Pine Forest's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Despite the defeat, Pine Forest had strong showings from Marco Stallworth, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and J?Kosi Black, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Black's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Maurice Smith, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.

Choctawhatchee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Pitts, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Jackson, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Pine Forest's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. As for Choctawhatchee, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.
