It was a good run, but Mill Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles, falling 73-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hawks came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Eagles are ranked 268th).

Mill Creek's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mill Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Buford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Buford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will take on Walhalla in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
