Houghton has gone 9-1 against L'Anse recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Houghton Gremlins will be home for the holidays to greet the L'Anse Purple Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Houghton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully L'Anse likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Houghton blew past Ontonagon, posting a 75-36 victory. The Gremlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for L'Anse, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They took down Watersmeet 61-42 on Wednesday. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for the Purple Hornets this season.

L'Anse's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Houghton, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Houghton against L'Anse in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured an 86-24 win. Will Houghton repeat their success, or does L'Anse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
