Highland came tearing into Saturday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mountain View Toros by a score of 5-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2019.

Kennedie Nelson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Highland's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was MiaLani Ocampo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Highland's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10.

As of now, neither Highland nor the Toros have any future games scheduled.
