Volleyball Recap: Anahuac Comes Up Short

Anahuac suffered their biggest loss since September 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Liberty. Anahuac hasn't had much luck with Liberty recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-19.

Anahuac's offense was headlined by Addilynn Pierce and Rai'Ana Lewis, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Sky Hedges and her three assists. Brayli Van Vickle controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Anahuac's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Liberty, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anahuac will square off against Nederland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty, they will challenge Hardin at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
