Volleyball Recap: West Orange Victorious

The West Orange Mountaineers earned a 2-0 victory over the West Essex Knights on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountaineers.

West Orange never let West Essex on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-22.

Nick Dent paced West Orange's offense, picking up nine kills. Dent got some help from Carnegie Pierre and his 22 assists. Finally, Jeremiah Cadet kept West Orange's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

West Orange now has a winning record of 4-3. As for West Essex, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Orange will head out to face off against Barringer at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give the Mountaineers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for West Essex, they will venture away from home to challenge Newark Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
