Softball Recap: Jurupa Hills Comes Up Short

Jurupa Hills managed to slip by Carter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans lost 18-8 to the Lions on Monday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Jaylin Olguin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Ibarra, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Jurupa Hills' loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10. As for Carter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-7.

Jurupa Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-3 defeat against Kaiser on the 23rd. As for Carter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-5 loss against Summit on the 23rd.
