Basketball Recap: Central City Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

Central City extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Colter Lueders. The Central City Bison blew past the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels, posting a 71-39 win thanks in part to Lueders, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Kayden Morner was another key player, putting up nine points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Eli Jaixen and Max Lewandowski certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Jaixen posted 11 points, while Lewandowski went 5 for 7 en route to 10 points and five boards.

Central City has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Arcadia/Loup City, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Central City will take on Doniphan-Trumbull in a tournament on Thursday. One thing working in Doniphan-Trumbull's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they will head out on the road to face off against Ansley/Litchfield at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. Ansley/Litchfield will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Arcadia/Loup City surely won't give up without a fight.
